AP Ankle
The ankle is a synovial, hinge joint. The medial malleollus and inferior surface of the tibia, lateral malleollus of the fibula, and the body of the talus make up the ankle joint.
Lateral Ankle
The medial malleolus of the tibia, lateral malleolus of the fibula and inferior surface of the tibia articulate with the dorsal surface of the body of the talus.
